Vice President
Bringing over two decades of combined experience across multi-unit operations and early childhood education, Jeff Klein serves as a key advocate for expanding accessible, high-quality childcare across Washington County. With a background spanning multi-unit retail management and multi-district program leadership at Champions Before and After School Programs, Jeff specializes in operational scaling, community alignment, and cross-sector advocacy. His career reflects a deep commitment to removing systemic barriers for families and creating sustainable support structures for early learning professionals. As Vice President and Founding Board Member of the OST Alliance, he helps steer the organization's strategic vision to unite and elevate provider networks across the region.
Jeff brings continuity and proven leadership to his current role, having previously served as a Vice President on the Board of Directors for Washington County Kids (WCK) during its pivotal transition to the OST Alliance. During his two years in this provider-focused executive role, key accomplishments included leading local advocacy efforts that successfully reduced facility rental rates within the Beaverton School District and partnering with the Oregon Department of Education to streamline provider access to summer learning grants. Beyond policy initiatives, his operational leadership has directly expanded out-of-school programming across the Banks, Beaverton, Forest Grove, and Sherwood School Districts.
A resident of Washington County since 2012 and a Beaverton School District parent of three, Jeff combines executive operational discipline with lived experience on both sides of the childcare system. Known for respectfully challenging status-quo practices, he leverages his voice as both a provider and a parent to drive meaningful, community-wide reform for Oregon's children and working families.
